Viðey island

Today we popped across on the ferry to Viðey, a tiny uninhabited island which is actually the tip of an extinct volcano. Viðey has it's own bicing service, completely free and unsupervised i.e. based on trust, amazing, just pick up a bike from the rack and go. Black beaches and lots of wild flowers and birds. So peaceful, you'd never guess that heads were lost (literally) in battles over the island in the Middle Ages. Bit spooky.
